|Mass Order Requirements|
|Mass Order (MO) can only be conducted in our pre-designated MO forum.
This is because we have encountered several fraudulent MOs in our forums before. We need to ensure we provide a certain level of protection for our community.
MOs outside the pre-designated forum will be removed without prior notice.
|Advertising and Promotion|
|All posts that have advertising and promotion content nature ARE not allowed with the forums. They will be removed with prior warning by our Moderators. External links to commercial websites with the intent to profit and/or promote a commercial entity are not allowed.
www.hardwarezone.com® aims to build a knowledge base of valuable information contributed by our community.
Parties who are interested in reaching out to our community should contact our media sales. Our media sales executives will be most happy to craft out an effective marketing campaign best suited for your needs.
You may send in your advertising enquiries at the below mentioned URL.
|Obscenities and Vulgarities|
|All members are advised not to use any form of obscenities and vulgarities in your posts/threads and/or PMs. This includes the use of language as well as images.
|To make the HWZ forums more inclusive to everyone, certain etiquette has to be adhered to. The forums are comprised of a diverse range of sub-forums; each sub-forum has, over time, developed its own set of unique guidelines to help new users along.
For example, some discussion areas, like the InfoTech Clinics, Current Affairs Lounge and Hobby areas, require a standard of English that will be easily understood by old, new, casual and even non-members alike. Other sub-forums have developed their own particular style of language which might not be easily grasped by new users.
However, sticky threads may be present to introduce new users to the guidelines, culture, and (in some cases) frequently-used lingo and acronyms.
Kindly refer to sticky threads, if any, for helpful posting guidelines.
A short but very helpful video on forum etiquette can be found at: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting
|Don't attack others. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully ... without insult and personal attack.
|Use of Third Party Information|
|Information copyrighted or owned by any individual or entity other than the member should not be posted on the forums without the consent of the owner. If such an event occurs, the individual posting the information shall be held solely responsible.
You cannot legally post entire articles or news in the forums without permission from the copyright holder. Even if you attribute the article correctly it is still copyright infringement. Do not reproduce substantial parts of content from other sites. Please include a relevant line or two that describes the content best, and provide a link to the soruce. If you are not sure if you can copy something then always err on the side of caution and simply post a link to the material.
www.hardwarezone.com® shall not be held responsible for member-posted information that may violate copyright law.
|HardwareZone.com does not allow users to have more than 1 account. If any user is found to have been passing off as more than 1 individual through multiple accounts in an attempt to sway/influence discussions, those accounts will be permanently banned.|
|Do not post the same discussion more than once on a discussion forum or on many forums. Duplicate discussions can be frustrating for other members, especially for those whose time and energy is limited.
Use the search function to search out similar topics. They may have been answered before.
Weeding through the same discussion in multiple locations can be not only frustrating, but down right annoying. Duplicate discussions will be deleted.
Reposting the same message repeatedly can be interpreted as SPAM.
|Think before you post or speak: Do you really want to put your address or telephone number on a public discussion forum or to share it during a live chat? We encourage you to keep personal information personal.
Similarly, do not ask for personal information from others. Discussion forum posts that request members to submit personal information to another party will be removed. Information that should be considered personal includes but is not limited to your home phone number, name, age. If you must give this out for any reason, please do so privately
|www.hardwarezone.com® respects all of our members' privacy and will not disclose any personal information to other parties.
However, in the event the request comes from a legal authority, www.hardwarezone.com® will co-operate fully with the authority to provide sensitive information.
www.hardwarezone.com® reminds all members to be responsible in any posts made within this forums.
